Journey drummer rushed to hospital after medical emergency interrupts concert
Journey drummer Deen Castronovo was taken to a hospital Thursday after suffering a medical emergency during the band's concert in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The group stopped the show after just two songs as his bandmates asked fans to pray for him.
Castronovo, 62, was transported to a hospital after leaving the stage, according to video shared on X.
Keyboardist Jonathan Cain addressed the crowd, apologizing for the interruption while urging fans to keep the drummer in their prayers.

Guitarist Neal Schon then stepped forward to explain how the band planned to continue the concert, according to local outlet Tulsa World.

The band returned to the stage after the interruption, with lead singer Arnel Pineda offering a reassuring message despite the lack of publicly confirmed details about Castronovo's condition.
"He's gonna be fine. Too much Gatorade," Pineda said, according to Ultimate Classic Rock.
Schon later dedicated the performance to his bandmate and expressed hope that Castronovo would recover.
"This concert's for Deen tonight. I'd love you all to pray for him. Everybody's been going through a lot. I think he's going to be fine," Schon said.

The cause of the medical emergency has not been publicly disclosed.
Fox News Digital reached out to Journey's representatives for comment.
The medical scare comes as Journey makes its way through the fall dates of its "Final Frontier Tour," the band's farewell tour.
The tour features Schon and Cain alongside Pineda, Castronovo, keyboardist Jason Derlatka and bassist Todd Jensen. The North American run kicked off in February, and the tour is scheduled to conclude Nov. 28 in San Francisco.
