Bear tries to steal one too many fish off of fisherman's line, gets charged at with pole in hand
You get to steal one fish off of this fisherman's line as a black bear hanging out watching him work. That's all. If you want anymore, you're going to have to jump in the river and catch it yourself.
It didn't have to be that way. The bear could have snagged the one fish and kept it moving. It didn’t. It decided to test its luck and go for a second one. The fisherman wasn't going to allow it. Correction, he couldn’t allow it.
He reeled in his fish, and when it got close to the shore, the bear tried to snag it. He did what needed to be done and that was charge at the bear with his pole in hand just in case the situation went sideways.

Was it worth it? Was getting the bear to back off of his catch worth taking a chance on a violent encounter with a black bear? Absolutely, according to the fisherman.
There were several reasons why he chose to keep the bear from swiping another of his fish. Reasons he laid out in the comment section of his video. This was about more than one fish, as he explains.
FISHERMAN CAPTURES A CRAZY VIDEO OF AN ALLIGATOR CHASING A BEAR ACROSS A FLORIDA RIVER
"The amount of people saying 'just give him the fish' is astounding, so let me educate you…Firstly, In this particular area there are so many fish that bear could dive into the water blind and come up with dinner everytime," he wrote.
"Secondly it’s a highly populated place with lots of people and tourists, if people start feeding those bears they will start to get more comfortable and no longer look at you as a threat and before look at you as food also."

Still not convinced that this fisherman did the right thing and continued to fish there? That charging at the bear going for his fish was worth it? Well, he has a strong finisher lined up.
"Thirdly, I watched this bear eat 3 huge fish that morning, including one off my line," he continued. "And lastly if you don’t know that you shouldn’t feed wildlife, specially an animal that can be dangerous to humans then you need to do some research. Cheers."
